Stuart Rasmussen

Stuart Rasmussen is General Sales Manager. Born and raised at Pike Lake, Saskatchewan, he’s been in the ag industry for 30+ years. Early in his ag supply career, Stu decided to only work on the with a couple of retailers. Blair's Family of Companies was one of them! Being an innovative, family-owned business with the same beliefs and aspirations that he has, made the decision easy. He believes that we are always at the forefront of innovation and are not scared to step out from the pack to be the “one”!

In his spare time, Stu likes to travel to Maui or Bearadise Bay Wilderness Camp, or Stu and his wife Val can be found on Kamaole Beach #1 in Kihei on Maui in the dead of winter. Otherwise, he enjoys hunting and fishing and helps his son with their outfitting business at Bearadise Bay. Stu and Val have two children, Laura and Daniel. In December of 2017, they welcomed their first granddaughter, Savannah.

Leah Bartel

Leah Bartel is Ag Business Specialist at Lanigan. She grew up in Alberta, where she attended school in Vermilion and obtained her diploma in Animal Science. This was followed by attending the  University of Lethbridge where she graduated with a B.S. in Agriculture. Leah and her husband Calvin operate a cow/calf operation near Drake. She also worked with BASF for three years, and welcomed their daughter, Briar, in 2017.

In her free time, you can find Leah riding her horses and competing in the Saskatchewan Barrel Racing Association!

Lane Christiansen

Meet Lane Christiansen, Ag Business Specialist at Rosthern.
He has a B.S. in Agronomy from the University of Saskatchewan, and he’s applied for his Professional Agrologist designation from the Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists. 

After gaining some experience in southern Saskatchewan, Lane has moved north to be closer to his family farm near Canwood, and to his girlfriend Megan who’s working on her MBA in Saskatoon.

When he isn't working, Lane enjoys camping, fishing, playing fastball, traveling and hockey.

Breanna Anderson

Meet Breanna Anderson, Blair’s Ag Business Specialist – Livestock Nutrition (Saskatoon)

Breanna, aka Red, grew up in Swan River, Manitoba. Breanna, along with her parents Bruce and Ione, brother, Austen and his wife, Katie, own and operate Anderson Cattle Company Inc. in Swan River. They raise purebred yearlings and 2 year old Black and Red Angus bulls. Breanna remains involved in their operation but moved away to start her career with Blair’s in June 2018.

Breanna went to the University of Saskatchewan to receive her degree in Agriculture and Bioresources with a major in Animal Science. She is working on her Master’s in Animal Science at the University of Saskatchewan in Ruminant Nutrition. She’s examining winter grazing practices. 

When not at work, you will find Breanna hiking, working on her photography skills, and getting together with her friends. She also volunteers with and at the ag education display at the North West Round-Up and Exhibition in Swan River, and helping out with local 4-H clubs.

Breanna’s favorite part of the job? “Talking with producers and learning every day. Each farm is different and comes with its own challenges,” she says. “Working with them to find out how we can help their operation succeed keeps me on my toes.”

Larry Stover

If you’ve been at our McLean location, you are sure to have seen the one and only Operations Assistant Larry Stover!

Larry grew up south of the border in Nashua, Montana where he attended the School of Hard Knocks! He lives on his Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan, ranch with his wife, Tanya, and kids, Dawson and Hudson.. 

Larry volunteers as director of the Cattlemen’s Credit Association and helps out at high school rodeos. Rodeos and roping are passions for Larry.

Larry has been with Blair’s for the past four years, and his favorite part of the job is the people!

Thank you, Larry, for all you do and always putting a smile on people’s faces!

Marj Zerr

Marj Zerr is Blair’s McLean Office Manager. This is her 13th season with Blair's. She has been married 42 years and has four children and four grandchildren. Her youngest son has revived the farm site where her husband grew up, a mile and a half from where they live.

Her hobbies include gardening, canning, crocheting, playing organ and piano, and walking her three dogs. Marj also loves to read.

Marj says the best part of being at the McLean location is definitely her co-workers. They are like her family.

Noreen Gemmill

Noreen Gemmill is our Corporate Services Manager in Lanigan.

Noreen was born and raised on her family farm in Treherne, Manitoba. After high school, she attended RRCC for Business Administration. She’s also taken accounting and management courses. In 1994, Noreen moved to Lanigan which she now calls home.

22 years ago, Noreen joined our team at Blair’s Family of Companies and has enjoyed working here ever since. At home Noreen enjoys working in her yard and gardening. She’s started to travel more, and in the past few years, has enjoyed trail riding in Utah. Riding a motorcycle in the southern states was her first trek, followed by whitewater rafting.

What does Noreen enjoy most about her job? “My time at Blair’s has been an adventure,” she says. “I enjoy many aspects, but interacting with customers is my favorite part, as well as the relationships I have built with our suppliers. I have enjoyed the growth of a great family company and see the additions of so many new families to our team.”

We thank Noreen for her commitment to Blair’s and the agriculture industry over the years. We are honored to have Noreen as a member of our team and family here at Blair’s.
